Some men talk. The rest listen.
Your mother told you. Your teacher told you. Your friends told you. Your boss told you.
Everyone has advice. Everyone has a sentence prepared for your life.
Speak less. Work harder. Be realistic. Wait your turn.
The world is full of voices. Most are afraid of silence.
Do you want to speak, or hear?
There are men who cannot endure a quiet room. They explain themselves before anyone asks. They fill the air with opinions the way frightened soldiers fire into the dark.
And there are men who listen.
They sit still. They watch. They hear the crack in a voice, the hesitation between words, the fear hidden beneath certainty. They know that most speech is confession.
智者不言，言者不智。
But silence alone is not wisdom. A stone is silent too.
The weak man speaks to be seen. The wise man speaks when the words can cut.
A man has one mouth and two ears. Nature is not subtle about its intentions.
Listen twice as much as you talk.
Listen to what people praise. Listen to what they envy. Listen to what they repeat. A man circles his deepest hunger like a wolf around fire.
Most men do not think. They borrow thoughts the way beggars borrow coats.
So listen carefully. Not because the crowd is wise. Because the crowd always reveals itself.
When you finally speak, let it be necessary.
Short words. True words.
The sea does not argue. The mountain does not explain itself. Yet both remain.
